  • Grigoris Chatzikostas | CARBONICA Coordinator, partner at reframe.food

Grigoris Chatzikostas is a partner at reframe.food and an expert in financing innovation in agtech and foodtech. As a passionate and engaging public speaker and trainer, he makes complex subjects related to EU funding and technologies accessible and easy to understand. He also offers mentoring and strategic consulting to a small number of carefully selected companies that are aligned with his interests.

  • Christiana Papoutsa, National Supervisor of CY MAP,  ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence 

Dr. Christiana Papoutsa is the Deputy Coordinator of the Environment and Climate Department of the ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence, and a Researcher leading its Agriculture sector. Christiana is also a Researcher and Special Scientist at Cyprus University of Technology (CUT). She holds a BSc in Chemistry (Oct.2006), and a MSc in Environmental Chemistry & Technology (Mar.2009) both from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, and a PhD in the Integrated Use of Field Spectroscopy and Satellite Remote Sensing for Monitoring Inland & Coastal Water Quality from the Cyprus University of Technology (Dec.2015). Her research interests are Water resources management; Risk assessment for aquatic ecosystems using space technologies; Smart water management for agriculture; Remote Sensing and GIS for environmental applications; Ground field spectroscopy; Climate change; Educational activities. 

  • Vassilis Litskas, Founder of VL  Sustainability Metrics LTD  
  • Dr. Litskas Vassilis is an Agronomist with a master and PhD in Ecology and Sustainable Ecosystems management, from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He is the founder of Sustainability Metrics and a Senior Lecturer at School of Environmental Studies – KES College, Cyprus. He has an extensive background in sustainability and environmental protection, with a focus on Life Cycle Impact Assessment; Ecosystem Services and Agriculture and GHG emissions accounting. He has participated in 20 interdisciplinary scientific projects on these topics. 

  • Achilleas Peitsidis,  FUGRO Berlin,  Invited Expert from diaspora

Achilleas is a Geologist of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and graduating the Master Program at the same University. He has been working for more than 10 years as a geologist in Greece and abroad in various disciplines and fields. From technical projects and geological mapping for mineral exploration to environmental projects. At the same time he is actively involved in research projects as a cartographer, tectonic geologist and digital mapping manager, managing regional and multinational projects. He is currently working as a Geo-Data engineer in environmental projects applying cutting-edge technologies in the field. Alongside in-situ data collection he works and researches alternative survey systems and environmental study tools. In addition, he is working on new methods of contamination detection through remote sensing and machine learning tools combined with GIS suites.

Marialena Kanellopoullou,  Head of Sustainability & System Certification, Cosmocert SA
Marialena is the Head of Sustainability and System Certification Division at COSMOCERT SA, a Foodchain ID Company in food and agriculture certification verification and validation. Her role includes management of certification and verification/validation services on ISO standards under the accreditation of ISO 14065/ISO 17029, that implement ISO 14064 verification and validation of GHG emissions and removals as well as other ESG services, such as Private Standard for Regenerative Agriculture Certification, Animal Welfare Standard, & FairTSA (Fair Trade Sustainability Alliance). She is also leading System Certification services under the accreditation of ISO 17021, implementing ISO 9001 ISO 22000/ certification on Food Safety Management Systems.  She has over 20 years of experience in the field of accredited system certification, working on national and international certification bodies. She holds a BSc from University of Surrey of and an MSc form University of Reading, United Kingdom on Microbiology and Food Technology Quality Assurance.

  • Goce Georgievski | Agricultural Engineer (MSc), PhD Candidate

Goce Georgievski is an experienced agricultural engineer and rural development expert with over 15 years of professional experience in both the public and private sectors. Until December 2024, he served as the Head of the Rural Development Sector at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Economy, where he managed the National Rural Development Program and coordinated its implementation. His work focused on strategic policies to support farmers, young people, and women in rural communities, as well as on developing the National Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS). He is currently pursuing a PhD at the Faculty of Agriculture at Goce Delchev University in Shtip. He holds multiple certifications in the agricultural field and has published over 25 scientific papers.
