The CARBONICA (EU-HORIZON) project was successfully showcased at the 4th Scientific Conference on Agriscience and Practice, held on June 13, 2024, at the Faculty of Agriculture, Goce Delčev University, Štip.
At the conference, the UGD team, represented by Prof. Verica Ilieva, actively participated as the moderator of a panel session titled “Application of Precision Agricultural Practices: Conditions and Possibilities.” The session commenced with a plenary lecture by Blagoja Mukanov, MSc, from AgFutura Technologies, Skopje, who delivered an extensive presentation titled “Digital Technologies: A Step Towards the New Era of Agricultural Practices in the Balkan Countries.”
Special emphasis during the presentation was placed on the technologies applied in the CARBONICA project, highlighting them as a significant advancement in promoting a new era of agricultural practices in carbon agriculture.
The panel session facilitated a high-quality and constructive discussion among attendees, including farmers, representatives from the regional units of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, members of the non-governmental sector, researchers, and academia.
