The 11th Online Roundtable Discussion on “From Practice to Impact: Scaling Up Carbon Farming through Innovation, Policy and Markets” will take place on 30 September 2026, from 11:00 to 13:00 (EEST).

The event will bring together experts and professionals from different fields to exchange perspectives on carbon farming, bringing together insights from farming, sustainable agribusiness, industry and policy.

Our speakers and panellists will share their expertise and experiences, contributing different perspectives to the discussion on scaling up carbon farming through innovation, policy and markets.

Meet the speakers who will join us for the 11th CARBONICA Online Roundtable Discussion:

Chrystalleni Papadopoulou | Head of Research, Training and Persons Certification, Cyprus Certification Company (CCC) | Chemist, MSc, MBA

Chrystalleni Papadopoulou is Head of Research, Training and Persons Certification at the Cyprus Certification Company (CCC) and a Lead Auditor for Management Systems. She is a Chemist and holds an MSc in Polymer Science and Technology and an MBA. She has extensive professional experience in certification, standardisation, management systems, training, and the assessment of professional qualifications.

As a Lead Auditor for Management Systems, she has experience in the implementation and assessment of standards and schemes including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and EMAS, with particular expertise in environmental management systems. She is also a Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Verifier and Lead Assessor of training programmes. In addition, she is a Lead Trainer approved by the Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus (HRDA) in the field of management systems.

Athanasios Kouimtzis – CEO, KOUIMTZIS Group | Agricultural machinery, spare parts, technical support and precision-agriculture technologies

Athanasios Kouimtzis is CEO of KOUIMTZIS Group, a Thessaloniki-based international manufacturer and supplier of engineering components, established in 1936 and exporting 70% of its production to more than 40 countries. KOUIMTZIS Group contributes to the transition toward carbon farming through advanced agricultural machinery and precision-agriculture technologies that enable more accurate field operations, resource-efficient management, and data-driven use of inputs.
Before joining the family business, he worked at the Embassy of Greece in Washington, D.C. and at World Carrier Corporation. He holds degrees in Business Administration and Political Science from Barton College, as well as graduate degrees in National Security and an MBA in Multinational Business Management from Georgetown University.

Goran Balevski | Agricultural Engineer, Organic Farmer and President of the First Organic Cooperative, Valandovo

Goran Balevski is an agricultural engineer, organic farmer, and President of the First Organic Cooperative in Valandovo. As a second-generation farmer, he is actively involved in promoting sustainable and organic agriculture, adopting new technologies, strengthening agricultural cooperatives and supporting young farmers in North Macedonia.

Nora Gola | Country Director for Kosovo, World Agriculture Forum

Nora Gola is Country Director for Kosovo with the World Agriculture Forum. She is an agribusiness and private sector development professional with experience working with international organisations, sector associations, public institutions, private companies and business service providers.

Her work focuses on agricultural value chains, market systems, SME competitiveness, access to finance and sustainable market development across Kosovo and the Western Balkans. She is particularly focused on supporting Western Balkan agriculture in responding to today’s regulatory, environmental and market demands through digital solutions, innovation, cross-sector collaboration and practical approaches that strengthen competitiveness, connectivity and sustainability in increasingly global markets.

Jovana Milosavljeva | Agronomist / Project Assistant AgFutura Technologies

Jovana Milosavljeva is an agricultural engineer and agronomist and works as an Assistant at AgFutura Technologies (AGFT) in North Macedonia. She holds an MSc in Animal Feed Production and has more than six years of professional experience in agriculture and international development projects.
Her professional interests and experience focus on digital and sustainable agriculture, precision farming, agricultural advisory services, and rural development. Her work includes collaborating with farmers and other stakeholders, collecting and analysing agricultural data, supporting capacity-building activities, and introducing innovative solutions into agricultural practice.
At AgFutura Technologies, Jovana contributes to several European Horizon projects, working with farmers, researchers, public institutions, and other stakeholders on topics related to climate-resilient agriculture, carbon farming, digital agriculture, and sustainable food systems. She is also a certified agricultural adviser.
Through her work, Jovana is particularly interested in bridging the gap between research, innovation, and agricultural practice, and in exploring how new knowledge and technologies can provide practical and accessible solutions for farmers and contribute to more sustainable and resilient agriculture.

George Papapostolou | Project Manager reframe.food

George Papapostolou is an Economist and Project Manager in reframe.food. He holds a Bsc in International and European Economic Studies and an MA in regional Politics and Economics, both from the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki. As a consultant, he has worked extensively in bilateral and transnational projects specializing in breaching the gap between academic and business sector, with a focus in regional cooperation. Having served as Financial Officer in the JS of the GR-MK IPA CBC Programme he has an extensive experience on the implementation of european-funded projects and in evaluation and audit processes, while as a private consultant, he has worked extensively in securing funds for innovation-driven SMEs.
