Thanos Arampatzis | Project Manager reframe.food | GR<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Thanos Arampatzis is a Project Manager at reframe.food<\/a><\/span>. He holds a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an MSc in Pharmaceutical Design & Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, and a PhD in Bioengineering\/Pharmaceutical Technology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. With a solid background spanning both industry and academia, Thanos brings extensive experience in research methodologies and project management to his role. Dr. Hakan Djuma<\/b><\/span><\/span>\u00a0|\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Associate Research Scientist in Hydro-ecological Observatories |\u00a0 EEWRC, The Cyprus Institute | CY<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>

Dr. Hakan Djuma has a PhD in Energy, Environment and Atmospheric Sciences\u00a0 <\/a>(EEWRC)<\/a> from The Cyprus Institute<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and MSc in Earth and Environmental Sciences from University of Amsterdam. His PhD thesis was titled \u201cGroundwater-recharge check dams as a non-conventional water resource technology for semi-arid environments and the assessment of soil erosion and sedimentation\u201d. His research interest is mainly sustainable land management options focusing on soil organic carbon, evapotranspiration, carbon and energy budgets with field sensors (eddy-covariance system, sap-flow, soil moisture and meteorological sensors), groundwater recharge (streamflow measurements and water-budget modelling), soil erosion assessment methods and soil-water conservation techniques (field assessments and modelling). He is also co-tutoring an MSc course \u201cHydrology and the Atmosphere-Water Cycle\u201d and co-supervising MSc students. He has published around 20 peer-reviewed journal articles where scientific methodologies included field sampling and observations along with equipment installation and multi-year data analyses.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Georgia Kalousi, MSc | Senior Project Manager | Earth Observation for Climate Resilience & Adaptation | GR<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>

Georgia Kalousi, MSc is a Senior Project Manager specialising in Earth Observation for climate resilience and adaptation. She is a Rural, Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineer from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and holds an MSc in Geoinformatics, with certifications in PMI\/PMBOK project management and ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems. With more than 25 years of experience, she has led numerous national and European projects in Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, and Satellite Earth Observation.\u00a0She currently manages the Horizon 2020 VALORADA project on climate risk and adaptation, the ESA EO Veracity initiative on the integrity and reliability of EO data, and Terra Spatium\u2019s Greek Living Earth project supporting environmental protection, carbon monitoring, and sustainable agriculture. Previously, she coordinated ESA\u2019s Space for Shore coastal erosion programme and the Greece\u2013China SCIENCE project on spaceborne SAR applications for cultural heritage.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Jovan Andevski | Conservation Director | Vulture Conservation Foundation Spain | MK<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Jovan Andevski is a Conservation Director at Vulture Conservation Foundation Spain<\/a><\/span>. He was born in Skopje, Macedonia, and studied Biology there. His first working experience was as a project assistant on a vulture conservation project in Macedonia (2003). Since 2008, he is working as the coordinator for the Balkan Vulture Action Plan, firstly for the Black Vulture Conservation Foundation, then for the Frankfurt Zoological Society and since 2013 for the Vulture Conservation Foundation. During the last 20 years, he worked on vulture research and conservation, project management and coordination at international level. He is practically involved in the Cinereous Vulture reintroduction projects in France and Bulgaria, and in Griffon Vulture reintroduction projects in Bulgaria, Sardinia, and Cyprus. In 2018, he established the Wildlife Crime Academy focusing on improvement of law enforcement capacitates and efficiency in combating wildlife crime across Europe and beyond. He was also involved in the preparation of the Multi-species Action Plan to conserve African-Eurasian Vultures (Vulture MsAP), Cinereous Vulture Flyway Action Plan and the European Species Action Plan for the Cinereous Vultures. Since 2025, he was appointed as the VCF\u2019s Conservation Director.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Jozhe Jovanovski | Environmental and Social Expert at the Project Implementation Unit (PIU); Ministry of Transport and Communications | MK<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Jozhe Jovanovski<\/strong> is an Environmental and Social Expert, with a background in civil engineering, environmental protection, and EU- and donor-funded project management. He holds an MSc in Civil Engineering (Hydrotechnology) and has extensive experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, environmental, and climate-related programmes across public administrations and international funding frameworks. Over the past decade, he has held senior roles within national and international Project Implementation Units, including as PIU Coordinator and Head of Environment and Social Aspects for IPA-funded programmes at the Public Enterprise for State Roads and the Ministry of Transport. His career also includes work with the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning, the World Bank, UNIDO, UNEP, and the Regional Environmental Center.
