The framework aims to create a clear and trusted system that rewards land-based carbon removals across soils, croplands, grasslands, forests and hedgerows. It is designed to align with emerging EU regulation on carbon removals and carbon farming, and recognises that farmers and land managers need clarity and confidence as a new marketplace develops.
