Thanos Arampatzis | Project Manager reframe.food<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Thanos Arampatzis is a Project Manager at reframe.food<\/a><\/span>. He holds a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an MSc in Pharmaceutical Design & Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, and a PhD in Bioengineering\/Pharmaceutical Technology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. With a solid background spanning both industry and academia, Thanos brings extensive experience in research methodologies and project management to his role. Throughout his career, Thanos has been involved in managing and implementing interdisciplinary research projects at both European and national levels.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Daphne Kitsou | CARBONICA scientific coordination team, Project Manager | Interbalkan Environment Centre (i-BEC)<\/span><\/strong><\/span> <\/p>

Daphne Kitsou studied at the Agricultural University of Athens in the Department of Natural Resources Management and Agricultural Engineering, specialising in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry. She is currently a PhD candidate at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
She serves as a Scientific Associate at the Interbalkan Environment Centre<\/span><\/a>.
Her expertise lies in carbon cycle management and accounting, carbon farming, Life Cycle Assessment, field data collection and processing, the evaluation of agricultural management practices, and the use of Remote Sensing tools for modelling purposes.
She has participated in European research projects under the Horizon programme, focusing on soil-climate zone mapping, the development of methodologies for the measurement and reduction of the carbon footprint, and the validation of tools and practices for carbon farming.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Stelios Dritsas \u2013 Designer and Producer of Climate Neutral Food Systems and Bioeconomy, Climate-KIC<\/span><\/strong><\/span> <\/p>

Stelios Dritsas works as a Designer and Producer of Climate Neutral Food Systems and Bioeconomy at Climate-KIC<\/a><\/span>. With an academic background in agriculture, environmental policy, and climate studies, he has been involved on many European projects focused on agriculture, food systems, and biodiversity among other topics.\u00a0He is currently engaged in projects such as Climate Farm Demo, HarvRESt, and ClienFarms, where he explores how different rewarding mechanisms can enhance the transition of agriculture sector and improve soil health at European level. Stelios also contributes to the management of the pan-European farmers\u2019 network Green Horizons.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

George Lokkas | Founder, creditCARB<\/span><\/strong><\/span> <\/p>

George\u00a0Lokkas<\/span> is the founder and CEO of Creditcarb<\/a><\/span>, a carbon credit brokerage firm of the Voluntary Carbon Market. Prior to founding\u00a0Creditcarb, he served as Deputy Manager of the Strategy & Investments division of Alpha Bank, where he was responsible for the Bank\u2019s ESG strategy. Before this role he was Director at\u00a0Pillarstone, a KKR-affiliated investment firm, which invested in distressed companies. Prior to it he spent 10 years with Alvarez & Marsal, a global turnaround advisory firm, initially in London and later in Athens. He holds a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Piraeus, an MSc in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and he is CFA\u00a0charterholder.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Nicola Netien | Olive farm Manager, Co-founder Oleaphen<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Nicolas Netien is an environmental engineer, soil biologist, and co-founder of Oleaphen<\/span>, a regenerative olive farming company in Cyprus. Through partnerships with five family farms, Oleaphen has produced olive oil with world-record polyphenol levels, using carbon-negative cultivation methods. Nicolas specializes in Mediterranean ecosystem restoration, drought-resistant agriculture, and soil health optimization. His work integrates scientific validation with traditional farming practices, emphasizing biodiversity enhancement and regenerative grazing systems. He holds the distinction of Knight of the Order of Agricultural Merit and actively collaborates with academic institutions on sustainable agriculture research.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Mjellma Mehmeti, Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning of North Macedonia<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Ms. Mjellma Mehmeti is a seasoned expert in EU external action financing with over two decades of hands-on experience in planning, programming and managing EU financial assistance. Her career spans work with the PHARE and CARDS programmes and more than 15 years of direct engagement with the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA). Through managing territorial cooperation programmes in North Macedonia, Ms. Mehmeti has developed strong bilateral cooperation with institutional partners across all five neighbouring countries and has gained a deep understanding of the regional challenges shaping cross-border development.<\/div>
Currently serving at the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning, she contributes to the national implementation of the EU Green Agenda, focusing on aligning domestic priorities with evolving European environmental commitments. Having learned from leading practitioners within national institutions as well as the EU institutions in Brussels and Strasbourg, Ms. Mehmeti continues to advance her career in international and multilateral policy fields.<\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
